I had a low-key weekend, just dinner with the girls and bummed it out for the remaining days. Thought I’d share with you my outfit this past weekend. I wanted to look sexy without every body part on display. I opted for a palette of nudes and pinks.
Style: The top is from Forever 21 and the skirt (don’t you love the slit?!) is from Oh Polly. I kept it super simple with no jewelry.
Glam: I’m wearing a NYX Lip Lingerie and Huda Beauty Lashes in Samantha.
Mane: Again, kept it simple with side-swept bangs and a low bun.
I opened my front door this morning to head to work, only to be greeted with knee high snow. All I could think was “Thank God I went out this weekend” because hibernation season is in full effect. I went out (twice) this weekend which is basically a milestone as I’m a homebody. These were my two outfits:
Style: The dress is from Dynamite. The pointy heels are from Aldo Shoes. The earrings are from Forever 21.
Glam: I’m wearing Diva lipstick by MAC.
Mane: A half top knot inspired by Jennifer Lopez.
It’s super obvious that this weekend I had a formula and followed it through; top-knot and short dresses.
Style: The olive coloured dress is from Forever 21. The leather jacket is from Dynamite. The booties are from Forever 21. The earrings are from Forever 21 and so are the bangles.
Glam: I’m wearing a random nude liquid lipstick I bought from Ebay.
Mane: True story: I slept with my hair in the half ponytail so I could place it in the exact same spot the next day. It took me too long to do it the first time around #thestrugglewasreal.
I live in Canada and around this time of year we are usually blessed with below zero weather. By now I should have already been wearing my puffy winter jacket, layered circle scarves and hiding my face under my hood. But it seems the gods of good weather have heard our pleas and so far (crossing fingers) we’ve had unusually mild weather, yet this won’t stop me from wearing my favourite fashion item: faux fur vest. So here’s one of the many ways I style my faux fur vests.
Style: The turtleneck is from Sirens. The faux fur vest is from Mango. The pants are from Sirens. The booties are from Forever 21. The earrings are from Forever 21.
Glam: I’m wearing a Revlon lipstick called Black Cherry.
Mane: When I need to leave in a hurry, it’s either a half-ponytail or top knot, so today it was a half-ponytail.
Le Look: Boho Chic
How much do you love this poncho? Like seriously? Even if you’re not a poncho person, even if you feel this is what your grandma should wear, there must be a part of you that kinda, just kinda loves this poncho — or it will eventually grow on you (at least I think).
The poncho was a feature item for a fall look book photo shoot that I was part of through @awalkinottawa for their Instagram account. The first look pre-hat, I was testing out how to style the poncho. Once I decided on a look, I added a hat and a necklace for the actual photo shoot.
Style: The poncho is from Forever 21. The tank top is from Garage Clothing. The jeans are from H&M. The boots are from Aldo.
For the photo shoot, I added a hat from Call It Spring and a necklace is form Aldo.
Glam: In the spirit of fall, I decided to go for a dark lip. I’m wearing Wet n’ Wild lipstick in Vamp it Up (it’s supposed to be a dupe for MAC Cyber lipstick).
Mane: When I was first figuring out how to style the poncho, I wore my hair straight, but for the shoot, I curled it. I thought the curls would look better under the hat.
